Phil Melanson is the CEO and an independent financial advisor at Symmetry Wealth Solutions, where he brings decades of experience in financial services to help clients achieve their financial goals. Before founding Symmetry Wealth Solutions, Phil held leadership roles at South Shore Bank, Bank of Boston, and MetLife, gaining a comprehensive understanding of financial planning and wealth management.

His career began in his family's construction business, which built homes in Boston’s suburbs. After two years at Westfield State, focusing on math and history, Phil spent seven years in the US Coast Guard, specializing in communications and cryptographic electronics.

Phil’s community service includes being a dedicated member of the board of trustees for The Accord School in Norwell, MA, where he serves as the chair of the facilities committee and sits on the finance committee. He is proud of his work renovating the gym and creating an outdoor platform, which was essential during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A passionate advocate for charitable causes, Phil actively participates in charity bike rides such as the Ride to End Alzheimer’s, the Pan-Mass Challenge, and the Face of America Gettysburg.

Phil comes from a large New England family of eight siblings and enjoys spending time with his nine nieces and nephews, as well as his six great-nieces and nephews. The Melanson family shares a love for ice cream, proudly visiting nearly every location along the Massachusetts Ice Cream Trail!
